Patch 0.1.4

Patch Notes

Gameplay Changes

  • Introducing Arcade Mode! Players can now enjoy a simplified version of the Tunnel Twister Experience. The player now only has to swipe to move with a fixed number of configurations. But, with simpler movement comes faster obstacles so watch out!.
  • Inside the tutorials, a player guide shows up whenever the player fails to pass an obstacle. The guide should help players understand how to position and orient their shape to pass obstacles.
  • Added a new skin for the Arcade game mode.
  • Slightly tightened obstacle boundaries within classic mode.

Quality of Life Improvements

  • Increased the maximum frame rate from 30 to 60 FPS for a smoother experience.
  • Overhauled the way we generate dynamic obstacles. Collisions with holes should be more accurate, and obstacle generation no longer slows down the game.
  • Now obstacles further from the player are dimmed so that the closest obstacle is made more clear.
  • Tutorials can now be accessed from the Extras page in the Main Menu. If the player has never played the game before or have not completed the tutorial, they are given the option to do so.
  • Altered the way we process player input so the initial frames of moving and rotating the shape is less jittery.
  • Moved Reset Data button out of options and into the Extras page.
  • On IOS, The home indicator is no longer present all of the time.]

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a bug where the pause menu could be opened within the Game Over screen.
  • Fixed bug that allowed players to dip their shape through invisible holes in the laser grid.
  • Fixed bug that caused game’s timescale to be set to 0.
